Pawtastic Vacations
I started Pawtastic Vacations in 2013 after the loss of my dog. I wanted to find a way to be around dogs without the long-term commitment of pet ownership. With my entrepreneurial spirit and knowledge of animal behavior, I explored dog sitting as a business opportunity. I created a profile on a pet sitting website and gradually built a strong reputation with clients. When Instagram launched, I used the platform to market my services and connect with pet owners.
Through running Pawtastic Vacations I learned a wide range of skills including client relationships, networking, business finance, marketing, photography, and scheduling. I also incorporated dog training into my services, an interest I had developed as a pet owner. Clients appreciated that their dogs returned home calmer and more obedient which increased demand for my services. Pawtastic Vacations remains a business I am proud to run today.
